The Kitchen / Central Location

The Kitchen/Central Location is the living heart of the biennial. At once an open-air kitchen, a gathering space, and an artistic installation, it invites participants and pas-sers-by alike to cook, exchange, and reflect together. Located by the lake-side, it offers an open and welcoming environment for encounters and collective engagement. As a flexible and convivial space, it brings together the festival's diverse practices and fosters dialogue around the cultural, social, and political dimensions of food.

For the 6th edition of the festival, we want to open up this space with/to our community of practices and imagine new ways of inhabiting it !

WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
A transdisciplinary collective — scientists, artists, designers, craftspeople, cooks, activists, architects. The collective can be newly formed or already active. We also encourage collaboration across different generations, cultures, and levels of expertise.

WE ARE OFFERING:
An open-air citizen experimentation laboratory in Vevey's public space. The intention is to rethink our ways of living, our relationship to time and to creation. We are especially eager to think together with the collective about the conditions under which multidisciplinary practices can flourish and thrive in our contemporary society.

Consult the Open Call Information Kit (conditions, expectations, and requirements).

The programming team and the architects of foodculture days will hold an online meeting to present the call for projects and answer any questions on Thursday, July 30, 2026 at 18h00 (CET). Join us via this Zoom link.
